The 2025 Season is Put to Bed

Dear Flower Friends,

2025 has been the best year to date for Petal Pushers!  Having reached many goals for the year–enhancing design skills, reaching more people, connecting with other businesses and business women, and seeing how the many pieces fit into the whole effort of growing and selling flowers–has made it a wonderful season!

With the coming of winter, it’s important to remember that biologic activity still happens, but more slowly. Microorganisms are breaking down organic matter and cycling nutrients; the expanding and contracting of the soil due to temperature changes aerates the soil and lessens compaction; the roots of plants slowly establish themselves and the soil protects insects and other organisms. And all that activity just happens at a slower rate.

So, while I still have a long to-do list of mulching and cleaning and planning 2026, the pace of my activity has slowed, too.  I’m relieved and grateful.

I’m also taking a road trip to see family for the holidays. There’s nothing like a road trip to clear your mind. And there’s nothing like hanging with loved ones to revitalize your spirits.

So, here’s to rest, reflection, time with loved ones and a good book, cookies and your favorite holiday meals!

Thank you for your support in 2025, and see you in 2026, my friends.
