Dear Flower Friends,
Tonight will see the first freeze of autumn, right on time. This officially marks the end of flower season for me. So, this afternoon, I harvested the last of the dahlias and other blooms still hanging in there.
As we day goodbye to the growing season and turn our focus inward, it seems fitting to reflect on everyone who helped make 2025 such a phenomenal season for Petal Pushers. My heartfelt thanks go to:
Keely for helping with physically demanding tasks and knowing far more botany than I do; Sallie for her flowers, her beautiful designs and helping me with the foreign world of social media; to Jennifer for her gorgeous flowers and camaraderie; for all the florists, event planners and realtors who make a point of purchasing local flowers; to those looking to expand their skills via workshops; to the Bread Shop for offering a place to sell my flowers; to the folks who stop by the flower stand on Saturday mornings; to my garden coaching clients who invite me into their gardens; to my roommate who rolls with the punches; to the bridal parties who trusted me with their flowers; to Daria for letting me play with flower arrangements in her gorgeous gallery; to Laurie for loving white flowers; to the folks at Canyon Road Art Walk, Beastly Books and Summer Sundays at El Rey who invited me to bring my flowers to their events; to Soap and Supply for offering a pop-up; to my customers who love local flowers; and to my friends who listen patiently while I talk about flowers–again!;
It has been a wonderful season, full of smiles and swoons and excitement about the beauty that flowers bring. Thank you, thank you!
On to 2026!
But first, a little rest.
And a little cleaning and planting. And planning.
Next year, you can expect an expanded flower stand, dahlia tubers for sale, Daffodil Days, and as many ways to purchase fresh, local flowers as I can think of.
In the meantime, you’ll hear from me less often, but know that I’ll be busy getting 2026 underway.
So, stay tuned, friends.
